Not in the zone

at least I’m not in the race zone.  Tomorrow is the “Dropzone DH” – next stop on the Island Cup circuit.  I’ll be missing it for the first time since I started racing DH two years ago.
Considering that I’ve been on the Scythe twice since last…

The Rumors of my Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated

Thanks Mark Twain and my apologies to my loyal readers.  I’ve been a little busy this past couple of weeks.
First – Snow to Surf was yesterday.
Today was a meeting with my business partners and a reception that my office hosted where we presented …

TEDxComoxValley

I’m going to stray a little from my usual format of reporting adventures and reviewing gear.  You see, that’s not what I do with all of my time (although that would be nice if I could!).  On the side, I have a bit of a political activist stre…

Focus

I’ve made some decisions this week.  I need to focus.  It all comes from a desire to do things to the best of my ability, and as per common sense, when you try to do too many things, its hard to do them all well.  So, I’m going to concen…

SEB KEMP READS MY BLOG!!!

Really!  I’m not making this up!  He even left a comment:

Dakine Poacher First Look

It has arrived!!!!

I almost didn’t get it.  Almost.  I mean, what good is a racing license if my back is still screwed up come race season and I can’t race?  On the other hand, how could I run a website called “Citizenclass” without holding a citizen class…

quiet weekend

Well, mostly.  The band played a private Valentines/Birthday party and my son was coughing all weekend.   Needless to say, no skiing for us today.  At least no one is puking anymore…
So – got the new Camera and went out for a driv…

The “Why”

Welcome to the home of Braxton Consulting (a.k.a. Andrew Gower).

Before we get on with blog posts, philosophical ramblings, and reviews/reports on equipment I am looking at, let’s talk about me and why the hell I am doing this site anyways.

I get things stuck in my head that need to come out. I also do some gear reviews and testing on the side. This page provides me the platform to say what I am thinking, and pass on things I learn about life. Originally focussed on gear reviews and advenetures, the path I have been following has diverged somewhat, so now you will hear about many topics – all shared with passion.
