I need to lose some weight.  Probably 15 to 20 lbs to get to my “ideal”.  So, since I have this blog anyways, I will be torturing you all with my progress.  Don’t worry, I will still have equipment reviews and silly adventures, they will just be interspersed with my dietary woes.

Picked up a scale at lunch.  I was quite impressed by what they can do these days.  I opted for one of the new fangled BIA ones that assesses bone mass, water content and body fat content.  The numbers are not pretty…

…could lose a few of those…like 20!  July 4th, 2011…

Some steps I will be taking to shed the excess include no more beer for a while, a moratorium on mochas, milk shakes and baked goods and regular use of my very nice free weights.

Some stats – I’m male, 37, 6ft .78 inches.  Ideal weight range is 184 to 199 according to the internet.  I’m a good 13.6 lbs over that.

I’m going to miss beer…
