This spring is turning out to be a little overbooked, so it will be a short post this week.
TEDxComoxValley goes next Thursday, and after checking this will be the 5th TEDx event I have helped run. I’m pretty proud of that fact. This one will be a little different as I will be stepping out from behind the curtain (where I hide to run all the lights and sound) and giving a talk. I still have some work to do on it too…
Elevate the Arts is up next, scheduled for downtown Courtenay from June 4th to the 8th. I am the technical director again, and will be making sound and lights happen where they are supposed too. I am also the “champion” of a new event, Elevate Fashion. Check it out! This little contest is all my own creation. The goal – show up on the Saturday of Elevate with the most amazing outfit possible. The rules – you can spend $50 MAX at local thrift shops, and you must provide receipts to prove it! There are already some great prizes lined up, with more to come.
All in all, spring is pretty busy. Throw in a business trip to Saskatchewan, and I am going to be working hard to get it all done…and I am trying to plant my garden still…
