Well, I managed to make the presses again. Bike has published my haiku and praise of their alliteration. Of course as an avid reader of my blog, you already know what I sent them (if you’re new, just go here to read my original post). This is the second time Bike has published one of my letters…I wonder if they even track these things?…
The latest issue is “The Bible of Bike Tests”. The cover is Seb Kemp, another BC boy, railing one of my personal favourite bikes – the Banshee Spitfire. Yes yes yes, I own one. Then again, I am super picky and only let bikes that are worthy reside in the cave permanently. Where am I going with this? Well, I am wondering what it will take to get a print publication to use me as a writer. I’ve sort of pitched Bike with no response. I pitched what I thought was a really good idea to Explore but didn’t make the cut. At least they responded…I have one more try in me (at least) and will be pitching Westworld the same story I pitched Explore (actually one of their recommendations). We will just see how that goes…
And onto cameras. I have decided on the Panasonic Lumix TS2 waterproof camera. They are on sale. However, there are none available here in the Comox Valley. So, the local London Drugs will be shipping one in for me that will hopefully (fingers crossed) be here on Monday. Full report to follow.
