First, I received an e-mail from the Premier! I kid you not! Here it is:
As Premier of British Columbia, I would like to congratulate you on being recognized as one of the Top 20 Under 40 at the Business and Community Achievement Awards Night in Courtenay last month. This is a great honour, and you should be very proud of your accomplishments.
These awards celebrate the very best in business leadership. They recognize some of the most talented and successful men and women in our province. I am sure your stories will help instil within our future generations a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and help them believe they, too, can set and attain higher goals.
As a successful, young entrepreneur with several varied ventures behind you already, you are situated to achieve some amazing things going forward. I understand that you are truly an advocate for your community as a Director of the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce and one of the founders of Imagine Comox Valley. I have no doubt that your passion and drive to achieve will serve you well over the years.
Again, congratulations. I wish you continued success in the future.

Wow, eh? It’s even slightly personalized.
Then – my son (he’s 7) went in the shower and got out after 5 minutes WITHOUT ME HAVING TO TELL HIM 20 TIMES! In fact, I didn’t tell him once that time was up, he decided on his own!
I should by a Lottomax ticket…
UPDATE
I made quiche for the first time tonight. Bacon, leek and onion quiche (with cheese).
My son – the picky I hate mushrooms I only eat food that is white and orange – LOVES IT!
He told me he thinks it is gourmet.
