It’s Wednesday. It feels like Friday after a 60 hour week. I am blaming the full moon…at least my back has been OK lately…
Game 4 of the Stanley Cup finals is on. Looks like the Kings can win it all if they can get a goal here in the third.
Working on the Man Cave sale is coming along. I’ve been showing to a few people and have lots of interest. Wish me luck!
I still have a bike for sale. Its a really good deal. I hope someone buys it soon as I really don’t need it and it is just going to sit in the Man Cave. Here’s the ad.
Plans for Man Cave Deux are coming along. I will, however, need a variance to infringe on the set-back that my house currently sits in…the plan now involves my entire deck, and will yield a new and improved outdoor kitchen / bar, and a new man cave that, while half the size of the space I currently use, will do the job quite well.
I am actually quite excited about building a new Man Cave. I like building things, its probably the one thing in life I enjoy more than almost anything else. Its nice to know that I will be able to build things in some way or another for the rest of my life.
You know, that life of mine is going pretty damn good right now. I have a beautiful 6 year old son, an awesome girlfriend, a pretty damn good job and I live in one of the best countries in the world in one of the best places in it. Not too shabby.
Reminding me of how tenuous that “awesome life” is, I am currently reading Fifteen Days by Christie Blatchford. I find this a very personal experience as I know quite a few of the people in the book. In fact, I’ve known some of them for over 20 years. If you are Canadian, you should read this, regardless of what you think of the politics that sent our troops to Afghanistan.
That’s all for now. I may race this weekend at Rumblefest. Or not. Its going to be a last minute decision. Regardless, I will be riding bikes this weekend!
